A video filtering method using greyscale and canny edge detector in LabVIEW

Abstract
The development of image and video processing technologies are growing rapidly for decades. One of the important aspects of these technologies is the filtering process of image and video images. The filtering processing or the digital filter is a method for performing several operations on video images in real time. Another common term for digital filter design is digital image processing which is used to create, analyze, and produce information in a form that is easily understood images. Using a GUI in real-time can increase efficiency in project work and reduce the time for programming time to get better results in a shorter time. The filter used in this paper is a greyscale and canny edge detector in LabVIEW. The results of this filter are the difference in the color spectrum of the input image. Digital filter design is the most interesting topic to design video image filters in real-time using LabVIEW. By using grayscale and canny edge detector in the digital processing of a video, it will get an image that suits the needs of the user. This can be done by changing the filter indicators available in the GUI that were created in this research.
