Analysis of the impact of the implementation of the energy recovery system and the addition of inert gas to the air – fuel mixture supplying the internal combustion engine in modern hybrid car – ecology and operational parameters

Abstract
The solutions presented in the article allow for better performance and ecological parameters of hybrid vehicles. The use of argon addition to the fuel-air mixture supplying the internal combustion engine of such a vehicle increases its efficiency by nearly 5.4%. The use of the energy recovery system contained in the exhaust gas enables the production of energy that is later used to drive the electric motor of a hybrid car. The performed calculations make it possible to determine the amount of recovered energy at the level of 1.52% of energy after converting the chemical energy contained in the fuel into electricity. The use of a combination of systems in theoretical considerations leads to the achievement of an approx. 7% increase in the range of the vehicle while maintaining the same level of emissions of components having a negative impact on the environment. The considerations made are based on the results of the research and calculations presented in the diagrams. The content of the article presents the equations used and describes the method of obtaining the parameters that determine the results. The theoretical part of the article includes a literature review with references to specific problems that have been attempted to solve.
