Abstract
According to the definition of the transport process, it should be seen as a set of organisational, executive and commercial activities [5]. Very important from the point of view of the conducted research is the scope of executive activities, which consist of loading, carriage and unloading of goods. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the winning KPI methodology are a set of such non-financial indicators that can increase the effectiveness of the selected activities. Their selection depends on the activities and productivity of individual company departments. There is no single fixed set of such KPIs that would fit in with all existing companies, but in some areas, exemplary KPIs have already been developed. One of such areas is logistics [2]. Analysing the area of transport it should be noted that it is perceived as one of the most important logistics subsystems. The thematic scope of the article includes the possibility of introducing title measures to companies realising road transport of food products. The article proposes theoretical models of measures for two selected KPIs: delivery in full and error-free deliveries with the own interpretation based on the logistic returns of companies. In addition, theoretical models of supporting indicators in refrigerated transport have been proposed which may have an impact on the KPI of deliveries on time. The developed supporting indicators concern two very important issues in the transport of food products like proper temperature and sanitary conditions. The use of KPIs in companies is directly related to the need to collect important data on the effectiveness of monitored activities. Obtaining information concerning the realisation of activities is crucial for their control and verification.
