Parallel algorithms for forward and back substitution in linear algebraic equations of finite element method

Abstract
This paper considers several algorithms for parallelizing the procedure of forward and back substitution for high-order symmetric sparse matrices on multi-core computers with shared memory. It compares the proposed approaches for various nite-element problems of structural mechanics which generate sparse matrices of different structures.
