Parameters of the hysteresis model of transformer steel sheets

Abstract
Lines of the field strength and flux density in corners and in points, where columns and jokes are connected, are usually not parallel to the rolling direction. The hysteresis loop obtained for directions other than the rolling direction differs greatly in comparison to the hysteresis loop which are measured along the rolling direction. The paper describes briefly modification of the “classic” model of the magnetic hysteresis. Special attention has been paid to principles of determination of the modified model parameters and their dependences on the direction of the magnetization process in transformer sheets. Numerical calculations were performed for chosen transformer sheet and for several values of the field strength. Calculated loops were compared to the measured hysteresis loops.
