Abstract
The test results of 12 fine-aggregate composites and their analyses are presented in this paper. The aim of the carried out research was to assess the usefulness of lightweight aggregates available on the market, such as: polystyrene granules, perlite, expanded glass, expanded clay and sintered fly ash, in terms of their application to fine-aggregate insulating-structural concretes of specific strength and density properties. The tested lightweight composites were characterized by oven-dried density ranging from 520 kg/m3 to 1320 kg/m3 and compressive strength of 2.9 MPa ÷ 31.2 MPa. In the case of insulating-structural concretes, for which the strength lower than 10 MPa is required, the application of expanded clay or sintered fly-ash turned out to be considerably less effective in comparison to ultra-lightweight aggregates, especially to expanded glass.

- W artykule przedstawiono i przeanalizowano wyniki badań 12 drobnokruszywowych kompozytów betonowych.
