Abstract
The ecological aspect of an office building can be observed mainly in the microclimate of its rooms. In the recent years, there is a growing interest in sustainable construction, especially in terms of the amount of fuel needed to heat buildings. This predominantly concerns commercial office buildings in which the achievement of an adequate standard and inner climate of rooms is often the most important criterion for the customer renting the premises. The costs borne by potential tenants, the owners of the buildings and the society as a whole, caused by adverse inner environment conditions in office buildings are often much higher than the costs of the use of energy in the building. A good quality of inner environment (including stable temperature and humidity) has a significant impact on the efficiency of work and decreases the number of sick leaves of employees. The above aspects are very important and should be considered already at the stage of design and construction of office buildings and later - during the execution of the investment-construction process. The paper shall present the results of research conducted in the innovative MLBE (Malopolskie Laboratorium Budownictwa Energooszczednego) building - the so called smart building, regarding the inner microclimate of office and laboratory rooms, in view of the external environment conditions in October 2018, measured by an automatic weather station located at the northern side of the building.
