Parametric design in the education of architecture students

Abstract
In this articleselected issues are presented that relate to the didactics in the field of computer software allied to the basics of algorithmic and parametric design in the education of architecture students. The findings are based on the experience of the researchers at the Department of Descriptive Geometry and Digital Technologies of the Institute of Building Design in the Faculty of Architecture at Cracow University of Technology, Kraków, Poland. This is part of the evolution of its educational offer. The introduction of new technologies and computer programs in the teaching is described, starting with the decision of which programmes to teach, and staff training, ending with the description of long-term results.
