Abstract
The paper presents experimental results of turbulence parameters of liquid flow in a stirred unbaffled vessel with an eccentrically located shaft with a Rushton turbine. The influence of the agitator shaft’s shifting magnitude with respect to the vertical axis of the stirred vessel on turbulent fluctuations of liquid flow velocity in the stirred vessel was investigated. The whole experimental research was carried out in a stirred vessel with an internal diameter of 0.286 m with a flat bottom. The amount of shifting of the shaft was changed from e = 0 to e = 0.5R. Measurements of instantaneous liquid flow velocities were made using Doppler Laser Anemometry (LDA)
