Abstract
The decomposition of the architectural form, so popular among the creators recently, is growing more and more. For years, the form was built according to the rules. The emergence of a new approach to design during the last nearly forty years was not without the help of concrete. This material has revolutionized the built world more than once. Bridges and technical facilities have accustomed us with their form to treat concrete as a material suitable for engineers. Constructors and builders tamed it, giving the shape we are commonly used to. Contemporaneity, destroying the scaffolding of the composition, turns to concrete again. However, this is its different application. More artistic and provocative. The emancipation of the viewer slowly tolerating the lack of verticality and horizontality in architecture is accompanied by the emancipation of concrete as a decorative material. Of course, this is not becoming without its very important feature, the ability to freely shape the architectural form. This aesthetic function creates a new term – Concrete Architecture. The varieties of architectural forms that arise are also related to the abandoning of the traditional language of design. Novelty in architecture is accompanied by a new approach to the beauty - of the rough concrete surface.

Konstruktorzy i budowniczowie oswoili go, nadając mu kształt, do którego powszechnie jesteśmy przyzwyczajeni. Współczesność niszcząc rusztowania kompozycji, znów zwraca się ku niemu. Jednak jest to już inne jego zastosowanie. Bardziej artystyczne i prowokacyjne. Nowości w architekturze towarzyszy nowe podejście do piękna powierzchni betonu.
