Abstract
The monograph presents the several-year research of the night sky glow made on several research stations in different environments. The influence of a number of factors, both natural and anthropogenic, on the brightness of the night sky is analysed. Particular attention has been paid to the importance of meteorological conditions in the propagation of light pollution in the atmosphere. An attempt was also made to determine the impact of this kind of light on the state of the local water ecosystem.

- Monografia przedstawia wyniki kilkuletnich badań nad łuną świetlną nocnego nieba prowadzonych na kilku stanowiskach badawczych, znajdujących się w różnych środowiskach. Przeanalizowano wpływ wielu czynników, zarówno pochodzenia naturalnego, jak i antropogenicznego, na jasność łuny świetlnej nocnego nieba. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na znaczenie warunków meteorologicznych w propagacji zanieczyszczenia świetlnego w atmosferze. Podjęto również próbę określenia wpływu tego rodzaju światła na stan lokalnego ekosystemu zbiornika wodnego.

- Die Monographie präsentiert die mehrjährige Forschung des Nachthimmelsleuchten, der auf mehreren Forschungsstationen in verschiedenen Umgebungen gemacht wird. Der Einfluss einer Reihe von Faktoren, sowohl natürliche als auch anthropogene, auf die Helligkeit des Nachthimmels wird analysiert. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit wurde der Bedeutung der meteorologischen Bedingungen bei der Ausbreitung der Lichtverschmutzung in der Atmosphäre gewidmet. Es wurde auch versucht, die Auswirkungen dieser Art von Licht auf den Zustand des örtlichen Wasserökosystems zu bestimmen.
