Siedlung Cracau – "Das Nest"

Abstract
Magdeburg 1920 modernist estates became a subject of the revitalization projects prepared by international teams coming from HTW Dresden – University of Applied Sciences (coordinator), PK – Cracow Univeristy of Technology, Lahti University of Applied Sciences, Szent István Egyetem in Budapest and Università degli Studi di Padova. The program was coordinated by Kompetenzzentrum Stadtumbau in Magdeburg with the collaboration of the Ministerium für Landesentwicklung und Verkehr des Landes Saksen-Anhalt and the City of Magdeburg. The paper presents various aspects of social revitalization of the “Cracau Estate”, the proposal involve traffic calming aspects and social participation.
