Competition tools in passenger transport in urban areas
Authors:
- Zofia Bryniarska
Abstract
Growing transportation needs of passengers in cities and urban areas around them are satisfied by walking, cycling trips or by traveling by means of public transport. The use of competition tools (competing on price, competing on quality, competing on service, competing on communication and information) and increase in the attractiveness of public transport, particularly in relation to individual transport, can allow for sustainable development in urban areas, reducing emissions and saving energy resources.
